I have used Omnigraffle for some time. Their tech support is excellent / prompt. And they often release updates / new features.

Conceptdraw Pro is a tool I use on my macbook. It reads Visio 2013 native files and Visio xml files if you have files from older versions. Try it, I assume it is free for some time http://www.conceptdraw.com/products/drawing-tool/

Also ConceptDraw Pro have many solutions for different industries.

You could also take a look at Lucidchart

yED is a Java based free tool and generates decent diagrams.

You can also try Edraw Max. It's similar software to Visio and works on both Window and Mac.
